Thanksgiving 2008

Hi all! It's been awhile since I've last posted a blog...sorry about that. Things have been a tad bit busy in the Schick household. And this post will be a quick one - I'm heading off to a local mission to serve take and serve lunch. Whew - what a day!

We went to North Carolina to visit Sean's sister for Thanksgiving! We got to see their new home, visit the beach, shop at a cigar/everything else store, and had lunch at a local winery. I won't be posting any pictures because I don't want to spoil any Christmas cards that will be going out soon... :)

After LONG travels home, we finally arrived back in Bloomington around 12:30 PM last night. I promptly went to the store and bought a rump roast to make Italian Beef and 6 boxes of augratin potatoes for the mission lunch today. Our luggage didn't make to Bloomington, and it's still sitting in Atlanta as I type this. So, it's a baseball cap and no make up for me until I get it! Yikes!

And for my southern family and friends....here is what we woke up to this morning. Merry Christmas!

Where have I been?

First of all - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother, Kendall!

I know...it's been awhile since my last blog. But, to be honest, I haven't done much to really blog about lately! This weekend we had the big Schick family Thanksgiving. I was 'assigned' to bring sweet potatoes, and I started sweating because I've never made anything with sweet potatoes. But, I lucked out finding an awesome recipe online and they turned out great! Need that recipe for T-giving - here you go! http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Moms-Sweet-Potato-Bake/Detail.aspx

Saturday we went to the IL vs. OSU football game. Brrr....it was a cold one. Illini lost...but the bright side of the game is that the Chief made a brief appearance! You should've heard the crowd!

Today I took pictures of some friends and their baby. I'll have a few up as soon as I can get them edited.

That's about it...sorry for leading a somewhat boring life lately. :) Ha ha!

The other two photo shoots

Here are a few shots from the other two photo sessions I did over the weekend. You can view the rest at http://www.flickr.com/photos/karischick!

A weekend of photo sessions!

I had three photo sessions this weekend! Whew! And I have confirmed with myself that I have a loooooong way to go before I can even consider calling my self somewhat of a professional. :) Here are a few of my favorites from the Morris family session. The leaves were just so beautiful! I'll post my favorites from the other two sessions in a few days... If you are interested in seeing all of the photos, you can visit http://www.flickr.com/photos/karischick

Git R Done!

That's right...we saw the man live last night - Larry the Cable Guy! I wasn't sure what to expect because I've never seen a show of his, but he is hilarious! We had a great time! Kendall (my brother) hooked us up with free tickets and meet & greet passes.
